abstract

The well-known tensions on the cosmological parameters $H_0$ and $\sigma_8$ within the $\Lambda$CDM cosmology shown by the Planck-CMB and LSS data are possibly due to the systematics in the data or our ignorance of some new physics beyond the $\Lambda$CDM model. In this letter, we focus on the second possibility, and investigate a minimal extension of the $\Lambda$CDM model by allowing a coupling between its dark sector components (dark energy and dark matter). We analyze this scenario with Planck-CMB, KiDS and HST data, and find that the $H_0$ and $\sigma_8$ tensions disappear at 68\% CL. In the joint analyzes with Planck, HST and KiDS data, we find non-zero coupling in the dark sector up to 99\% CL. Thus, we find a strong statistical support from the observational data for an interaction in the dark sector of the Universe while solving the $H_0$ and $\sigma_8$ tensions simultaneously.

    astro-ph.CO 2024-02 unverdicted novelty 7.0 of 10

Λ_s VCDM is a predictive model combining Λ_s CDM with VCDM gravity via an auxiliary scalar field and sigmoid-smoothed potentials to enable stable mirror AdS-to-dS transitions with possible transient acceleration.

  2. Background-level reconstruction of scalar-field potentials from dark-energy histories and comparison with analytic potential families

    astro-ph.CO 2026-03 conditional novelty 5.5 of 10

A background reconstruction maps prescribed ρ_de(z) histories to V(φ) and ranks analytic potentials by Bayesian evidence, with exponential preferred for CPL and shifted-tanh for sign-switching targets.

  3. Hubble tension in k-essence: Evidence for robust tension alleviation

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Dilaton and tachyon k-essence models robustly reduce Planck–late-Universe H0 tension to 0.14σ and 0.69σ without dataset-dependent fine-tuning of model parameters.

  4. Probing dynamical dark energy with late-time data: Evidence, tensions, and the limits of the $w_0w_a$CDM framework

    astro-ph.CO 2026-02 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

Evidence for dynamical dark energy in the w0waCDM framework is strongly dataset-dependent, driven by mismatches in low-redshift BAO distance ratios that produce divergent expansion histories and inconsistent Hubble te...

  5. Interacting Barrow Holographic Dark Energy in Non-flat Universe

    gr-qc 2024-12 reject novelty 5.0 of 10

Derives a non-flat interacting Barrow holographic dark energy model and fits it to CC and Pantheon data, but the statistical claim of preference is contradicted by the paper's own AIC/BIC/DIC table.

  6. Interacting phantom dark energy: new accelerating scaling attractors

    gr-qc 2024-11 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Interacting phantom dark energy with two previously underused potentials admits new stable late-time accelerating solutions in which dark matter and dark energy coexist.

  7. Interacting dark energy in the early 2020s: a promising solution to the $H_0$ and cosmic shear tensions

    astro-ph.CO 2019-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

An interacting dark energy model with coupling proportional to the dark energy density alleviates the H0 and S8 tensions in Planck 2018 data but is not preferred once BAO and supernova data are included.

  8. Resolving Hubble Tension with Quintom Dark Energy Model

    gr-qc 2019-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

A small negative-density component with equation of state 1/3≤w≤1 can lift H0 from 67.4 to about 74, but the coupled quintom model realizing it either misses the CMB peak or gives H0=68.55.

  9. Fractional Dark Matter decay: cosmological imprints and observational constraints

    astro-ph.CO 2019-08 conditional novelty 5.0 of 10

Cosmological data limit a pre-recombination decaying dark matter fraction to at most about 2.7%, and future kSZ measurements could provide an independent test.

    astro-ph.CO 2025-08 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

With DESI DR2 data, one interacting dark sector model with a time-dependent coupling shows a nonzero coupling at more than 95% CL, but Bayesian evidence still favors Lambda-CDM.
