We observe a signal for the doubly charmed baryon Xi_cc^+ in the charged decay mode Xi_cc^+ --> Lambda_c^+ K- pi+ in data from SELEX, the charm hadro-production experiment at Fermilab. We observe an excess of 15.9 events over an expected background of 6.1 +/- 0.5 events, a statistical significance of 6.3sigma. The observed mass of this state is (3519 +/- 1) MeV/c^2. The Gaussian mass width of this state is 3MeV/c^2, consistent with resolution; its lifetime is less than 33fsec at 90% confidence.

The effects of polarization on the observables in the decay $\Xi_{cc}^{++} \rightarrow \Xi_{c}^{+} \bar{\ell}\nu_{\ell}$
Polarization of the parent baryon, daughter baryon, and muon strongly reshapes branching ratios, forward-backward asymmetries, and newly defined polarization ratios in Ξ_cc++ → Ξ_c+ ℓ ν, while the μ/e LFU ratio stays ...

Final-state rescattering mechanism of doubly-charmed baryon decays: $\mathcal{B}_{cc}\to\mathcal{B}_{c}V$

Assessing the validity of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation in potential models for doubly heavy hadrons

Light cone QCD sum rules study of the rare radiative $\Xi^{*}_{bb}\to\Xi_b\gamma$ decay
Light cone QCD sum rules produce the form factors T1V(q²=0), T2V(q²=0), T1A(q²=0), T2A(q²=0) for Ξ*bb → Ξb γ, from which the decay width is calculated.

Revisiting lifetimes of doubly charmed baryons
Updated predictions within the heavy quark expansion confirm the lifetime hierarchy τ(Ξ_cc^+) < τ(Ω_cc^+) < τ(Ξ_cc^++) with τ(Ξ_cc^++) = 0.32 ± 0.05 +0.08/-0.07 ps matching LHCb data and provide ratios for the other states.

Hydrogen-like structures in the strong interaction
T_cc+ is assigned to a compact color-sextet tetraquark by a Born-Oppenheimer quark model, which also predicts stable doubly heavy tetraquarks.
