An Improved Experimental Limit on the Electric Dipole Moment of the Neutron
read the original abstract
An experimental search for an electric-dipole moment (EDM) of the neutron has been carried out at the Institut Laue-Langevin (ILL), Grenoble. Spurious signals from magnetic-field fluctuations were reduced to insignificance by the use of a cohabiting atomic-mercury magnetometer. Systematic uncertainties, including geometric-phase-induced false EDMs, have been carefully studied. Two independent approaches to the analysis have been adopted. The overall results may be interpreted as an upper limit on the absolute value of the neutron EDM of |d_n| < 2.9 x 10^{-26} e cm (90% CL).

Accidental Peccei-Quinn Symmetry from Chiral Gauge Symmetry and Mirror QCD
A chiral U(1) gauge symmetry generates an accidental Peccei-Quinn symmetry broken by mirror QCD, solving the strong CP problem without a light axion while supplying WIMP dark matter, stochastic gravitational waves, an...

Searching for axions with quantum interferometry
Axion-photon coupling imprints measurable Aharonov-Bohm and Berry phases in superconducting circuits and interferometers, projecting sensitivity to g_aγγ ~ 7.8e-14 GeV^{-1} at m_a ~ 1e-10 eV.

Looking for Lights from the Darkness: Signals from MeV-scale Solar Axion-like Particles
Solar axion-like particles up to 5.5 MeV produce off-axis MeV photons via two-body decay, enabling new space and terrestrial searches that could probe g_aγ down to 10^{-12} GeV^{-1}.
