Inflation from a Tachyon Fluid?
read the original abstract
Motivated by recent works of Sen and Gibbons, we study the evolution of a flat and homogeneous universe dominated by tachyon matter. In particular, we analyse the necessary conditions for inflation in the early roll of a single tachyon field.

Constraining Quintessential Inflation with ACT: A Gauss-Bonnet Gateway
Exponential and sech Gauss–Bonnet couplings restore ACT-compatible ns and r for quintessential inflation, while tanh fails for a structural sign reason; reheating remains BBN-safe.
-
Analytical calculation of the observational parameters for tachyon inflation
Authors introduce new Hubble rate test functions for tachyon inflation, derive analytical ns and r using assumed slow-roll parameter dependence, and compare predictions to Planck data.

Constraining Quintessential Inflation with ACT: A Gauss-Bonnet Gateway
Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet corrections with exponential or sech couplings shift quintessential inflation into the 1 sigma ACT region for r and ns, while tanh coupling remains disfavored.
