This is an introduction to, and invitation to read, a series of review articles on scattering amplitudes in gauge theory, gravity, and superstring theory. Our aim is to provide an overview of the field, from basic aspects to a selection of current (2022) research and developments.

Two-loop form factors for $P$-wave quarkonium production and decay
Analytic two-loop form factors for chi_{Q,J} production and decay are presented, including a new NRQCD singularity that couples P-wave states to the 3S1[8] configuration.
-
QCD Scattering Amplitudes and Prescriptive Unitarity
The maximally-transcendental part of planar two-loop six-gluon MHV QCD amplitudes is bootstrapped at symbol level and expressed in a 137-letter alphabet.
-
Perturbations of Plane Waves and Quadratic Quasinormal Modes on the Lightring
Second-order gravitational perturbations on plane waves are solved with a GHP master equation and tensor harmonics, yielding quadratic quasinormal mode ratios and selection rules.
-
Geometric Landau Analysis and Symbol Bootstrap
Boundary structure of negative geometries, combined with Landau analysis, determines physical singularities and yields symbol alphabets for six-point two-loop and five-point three-loop ladder integrals in planar N=4 s...
-
A Hidden Permutation Symmetry of Squared Amplitudes in ABJM Theory
Squared ABJM amplitude integrands with fixed n+L are unified in a permutation-symmetric generating function, and a bipartite f-graph bootstrap yields new N=10 tree and loop results.

Massive Helicity-Chirality Spinor Formalism from Massless Amplitudes with On-shell Mass Insertion
A new helicity-chirality spinor basis with a 'transversality' charge claims a one-to-one UV-IR correspondence between massive amplitudes and massless amplitudes with Higgs insertions, and reproduces pion decay, top de...
-
Full S-matrices and Witten diagrams with (relative) L-infinity algebras
Cyclic relative L-infinity algebras encode the full S-matrix, including its trivial part, and reproduce Witten diagrams including CFT two-point functions.
-
Robustness of Starobinsky inflation in a minimal two-field scalar-tensor completion
Nearby trajectories in a minimal two-field scalar-tensor completion of Starobinsky inflation relax to an attractor where entropy sourcing is negligible, so observables remain effectively Starobinsky-like.
-
Novel cluster-algebraic letters for 5- and 6-point QCD processes
Candidate symbol alphabets for 5- and 6-point QCD processes are derived from the 9-particle N=4 super Yang-Mills cluster algebra, including new nested square-root letters.
-
Soft Factor Structure of MHV Amplitudes for Massless Charged Particles
MHV amplitudes in massless QED are derived in a factorized soft-factor form, with proof by BCFW recursion, extending to scalars, supersymmetry, and gravity up to eight points.
-
On one-loop amplitudes in gauge theories
A universal expansion expresses one-loop n-gluon amplitudes in general gauge theories as scalar-loop integrands dressed by matter-dependent gauge-invariant traces.
-
Extended Poincare Symmetry Dictates Massive Scattering Amplitudes
A new U(1) 'transversality' symmetry, embedded in SO(5,1), fixes the structure of massive three-point amplitudes and resolves the e+e- to mu+mu- discrepancy in the spinor-helicity formalism.

Scaffolding Residues in Yang-Mills-Scalar \`a la CHY
A CHY-level derivation showing that the scaffolding residue of 2n-scalar Yang-Mills-Scalar amplitudes reproduces n-gluon amplitudes, with the pfaffian of A turning into the pfaffian of Psi.
-
Subleading soft radiation during scattering of dressed states in QED
With subleading-corrected Faddeev-Kulish dressing, tree-level QED bremsstrahlung below the dressing scale vanishes, and elastic dressed amplitudes equal the infrared-finite part of Fock amplitudes.
