Gravitational waves emitted by distorted black holes, such as those arising from the coalescence of binary black holes, or a falling compact star into a supermassive black hole, carry not only information about the corresponding spacetime but also information about the environment surrounding the black holes. In this paper, we study the effects of the dark matter halos with three different density profiles on the gravitational axial perturbations of a Schwarzschild-like black hole. For this purpose, we first consider modified Schwarzschild black holes with three different dark matter profiles and derive the equation of motion of the axial perturbations of the modified Schwarzschild metric. It is shown that by ignoring the dark matter perturbations, a Regge-Wheeler-like master equation with a modified potential for the axial perturbation can be obtained explicitly. Then we calculate the complex frequencies of the quasi-normal modes of the Schwarzschild-like black hole in the dark matter halos by applying the sixth-order WKB method. The corresponding gravitational wave spectra with the effects of the dark matter halos have also been discussed.

  3. Nonradial oscillations of realistic anisotropic neutron stars: Axial modes

    gr-qc 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Axial modes of anisotropic neutron stars show mass-scaled frequency and damping time with nearly universal quadratic dependence on compactness, insensitive to EOS and anisotropy model.

  4. Nonradial oscillations of realistic anisotropic neutron stars: Axial modes

    gr-qc 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Axial modes of anisotropic neutron stars are integrated numerically for realistic EOS; frequency falls with mass, damping time rises, and scaled quantities follow a near-universal quadratic in compactness that is larg...

  5. Strong-field signatures of a regular black hole in an Einasto dark matter halo

    gr-qc 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Regular black holes in Einasto dark matter halos show the strongest deviations from Schwarzschild in photon sphere and shadow properties near a critical halo parameter, remaining consistent with Sgr A* but mildly disf...

  6. Long-lived quasinormal frequencies for regular black hole supported by the Einasto profile in the presence of the magnetic field

    gr-qc 2026-03 conditional novelty 4.0

For Einasto-supported regular black holes, larger effective scalar mass and certain halo parameters suppress the quasinormal damping rate, producing long-lived modes and shifting grey-body factors toward higher frequencies.
