We overview the current status and future perspectives of the QCD-based method of light-cone sum rules. The two main versions of these sum rules, using light-meson and $B$-meson distribution amplitudes are introduced and the most important applications of the method are discussed. We also outline open problems and future perspectives of this method.

  1. Three-particle di-light-cone distribution amplitudes of the $B$-meson in heavy-quark effective theory

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 7.0

The authors identify eight independent three-particle DLCDAs of the B-meson, perform their complete Lorentz decomposition in definite-twist basis, obtain tree-level relations for integrals and moments from operator id...

  2. Light-cone sum rules with $B$-meson distribution amplitudes for the $B\to p$ form factors in $B$-mesogenesis models

    hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 7.0

New light-cone sum-rule form factors predict B+→p + dark-antiproton rates and lower limits showing that Belle II/BaBar bounds must reach 10⁻⁸–10⁻⁷ for a decisive test of B-mesogenesis.

  3. Semileptonic $B_q$ decays to heavy tensor mesons

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Form factors for B_q to J^P=2^+ tensor meson semileptonic decays are computed via light-cone QCD sum rules with external B state, yielding SM decay rates and LFU test ratios.

  4. Heavy quark mass dependence of the $\Lambda_Q$ light-cone distribution amplitude in QCD

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0

The Lambda_Q baryon LCDA at mass m_Q equals (m_Q/m_Q^0)^2 times the LCDA at m_Q^0 evaluated at rescaled fractions x_i*m_Q/m_Q^0, times an exponentiated anomalous dimension, plus renormalon-model power corrections.

  5. Determination of $B$-meson distribution amplitudes from $B\to \pi,K,D$ transition form factors

    hep-ph 2025-12 conditional novelty 5.0

A global fit to B→π,K,D lattice form factors and B→πℓν data yields λ_B=217(19)+82−17 MeV and |V_ub|=3.68(13)+0−1×10−3.

  6. $|V_{cb}|$ determinations from $\bar{B} \to D^{(*)} \ell \bar\nu$ decays within the SM and beyond

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Fits to B to D(*) l nu form factors with BSZ, BGL and HQET yield |V_cb| matching PDG average for BGL but smaller for HQET, while data still allows non-zero new physics contributions.

  7. Determination of $B$-meson distribution amplitudes from $B\to \pi,K,D$ transition form factors

    hep-ph 2025-12 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Global fit of B to pi, K, D form factors from lattice QCD and LCSR yields lambda_B = 217(19) MeV with model variations and |V_ub| = 3.68(13) x 10^{-3}.

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 2.0

Review advocating correlations among flavour observables as direct tests for specific new physics models beyond global fits to Wilson coefficients.
