abstract

The K2K experiment observes indications of neutrino oscillation: a reduction of $\nu_\mu$ flux together with a distortion of the energy spectrum. Fifty-six beam neutrino events are observed in Super-Kamiokande (SK), 250 km from the neutrino production point, with an expectation of $80.1^{+6.2}_{-5.4}$. Twenty-nine one ring $\mu$-like events are used to reconstruct the neutrino energy spectrum, which is better matched to the expected spectrum with neutrino oscillation than without. The probability that the observed flux at SK is explained by statistical fluctuation without neutrino oscillation is less than 1%.

  1. On the Robustness of type-II Seesaw Collider Searches

    hep-ph 2026-03 conditional novelty 6.0 of 10

Adding a single effective operator that makes the doubly charged Higgs decay into two leptons and a photon weakens current ATLAS limits from ~1.1 TeV to ~0.7 TeV, but requiring a hard photon in the final state restore...

  2. A Novel Neutrino Mass Matrix

    hep-ph 2025-08 reject novelty 6.0 of 10

A neutrino mass matrix texture with correlations m12=m13 and m33=2i m12 is claimed to fix the hierarchy, octant, and CP phases, but the supporting model and RG analysis are incomplete.

  3. Equal Majorana Phases from a Minimal and Predictive Neutrino Texture

    hep-ph 2023-03 unverdicted novelty 5.0 of 10

A new minimal neutrino mass matrix texture is introduced that enforces equal Majorana phases within a partial TBM scheme and is realized via hybrid Type-I and Type-II seesaw under an extended discrete symmetry.

  4. Characterisation at the HL-LHC of Long-lived Heavy Neutrinos in Gauge Extensions of the Standard Model

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 4.0 of 10

Displaced heavy-neutrino signals in LRSM and U(1)B−L remain accessible at the HL-LHC, with parton-level mass, lifetime, and AFB handles in low-background regions.

  5. Permuted Charged Lepton Correction in the Framework of Dirac Seesaw

    hep-ph 2025-01 reject novelty 4.0 of 10

An A4-based Dirac seesaw model produces a solar mixing angle at the edge of the experimental range, but this is driven by a freely scanned parameter.
