We investigate an extension of the Minimal Standard Model by right-handed neutrinos (the $\nu$MSM) to incorporate neutrino masses consistent with oscillation experiments. Within this theory, the only candidates for dark matter particles are sterile right-handed neutrinos with masses of a few keV. Requiring that these neutrinos explain entirely the (warm) dark matter, we find that their number is at least three. We show that, in the minimal choice of three sterile neutrinos, the mass of the lightest active neutrino is smaller than ${\cal O}(10^{-5})$ eV, which excludes the degenerate mass spectra of three active neutrinos and fixes the absolute mass scale of the other two active neutrinos.

  1. Low-Scale Leptogenesis from Resonant Thermal Lepton Flavour Coherences

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Resonant thermal lepton-flavour coherences at two loops enable dominant low-scale leptogenesis for both Dirac and Majorana singlet neutrinos down to GeV masses without mass degeneracy.

  2. Dominant Thermal Resonant Mechanism for Low-Scale Leptogenesis

    hep-ph 2026-01 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Thermal Resonant Leptogenesis produces the observed baryon asymmetry via a dominant thermal channel from Higgs decays and lepton-doublet coherences, without requiring quasi-degenerate sterile neutrinos.

  3. Neutrino t-channels at Colliders: When Light Neutrinos Matter

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0

The same-sign WW→ℓℓ t-channel signal for heavy Majorana neutrinos is cancelled by light-neutrino contributions in the seesaw model; the opposite-sign eµjj channel is a better probe.

  4. High resolution Lyman-{\alpha} forest constraints on dark matter-neutrino scattering

    astro-ph.CO 2026-07 conditional novelty 6.0

    The Lyman-alpha forest constrains dark matter-neutrino scattering to u_nu_chi < 1.5e-8 (95% C.L.), excluding previously claimed hints of a non-zero interaction.

  5. Minimal Majoron Dark Matter from a Discrete $Z_N$ Gauge Symmetry

    hep-ph 2026-07 conditional novelty 5.0

Discrete Z_N-protected majoron dark matter excludes Z_5, leaves Z_7/Z_11/Z_13 viable, and predicts a 1–10 MeV Z_7 majoron testable by COSI through 511 keV and γγ lines.

  6. Detector performance at SHiP for cascade-produced long-lived particles

    hep-ph 2026-06 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Cascade LLPs in SHiP suffer strong acceptance suppression, yielding at most moderate enhancement over primary production for light ALPs and subdominant contribution for HNLs from secondary kaons.

  7. Hunting Sterile Neutrino Dark Matter in the MeV Gap

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Future MeV telescopes are projected to improve existing limits on sterile neutrino dark matter decay rates by several orders of magnitude.

  8. Sterile Neutrino Dark Matter as a Probe of Inflationary Reheating

    hep-ph 2026-01 conditional novelty 5.0

Inflaton decays during reheating can produce all of the observed sterile-neutrino dark matter with a branching ratio below 10^-4, evading X-ray bounds and making a future X-ray line a probe of the inflaton mass and re...
