Heavy-light diquarks can be the building blocks of a rich spectrum of states which can accommodate some of the newly observed charmonium-like resonances not fitting a pure c-cbar assignment. We examine this possibility for hidden and open charm diquark-antidiquark states deducing spectra from constituent quark masses and spin-spin interactions. Taking the X(3872) as input we predict the existence of a 2++ state that can be associated to the X(3940) observed by Belle and re-examine the state claimed by SELEX, X(2632). The possible assignment of the previously discovered states D_s(2317) and D_s(2457) is discussed. We predict X(3872) to be made of two components with a mass difference related to (m_u-m_d) and discuss the production of X(3872) and of its charged partner X^(+-) in the weak decays of B^(+,0).

    hep-ex 2026-04 accept novelty 8.0

A new charm-strange resonance D_s1(2933)^+ with J^P=1^+ is observed at >10 sigma in B^0 to D+ D- K+ pi- decays, with measured mass 2933 MeV and width 72 MeV.

  2. Analysis of the $D_0^*(2300)$ resonance from lattice QCD under chiral symmetry

    hep-ph 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 7.0

Chiral symmetry corrections in lattice QCD fits shift the D0*(2300) resonance pole closer to the Dπ threshold and reduce its width, while coupled channels produce a two-pole structure.

  3. Observation of the decay $\chi_{c1}(3872)\rightarrow J\mskip -3mu/\mskip -2mu\psi \mu^+\mu^-$

    hep-ex 2026-01 accept novelty 7.0

    First observation of χ_c1(3872) → J/ψ μ⁺μ⁻ reported at 6.5σ significance with branching fraction ratio (1.68 ± 0.37) × 10^{-3} relative to the π⁺π⁻ mode.

  4. A New Look at the X Compositeness from its Lineshape

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

An auxiliary-field effective theory yields a lineshape parametrization for molecular X(3872) that consistently describes deuteron scattering data and differs from the Flatté form used for compact interpretations.

  5. A Phenomenological Study of Semileptonic $B^+$ and $B_s^0$ Decays into Axial-Vector Mesons $\big(D_1(2420),\, D_1^\prime(2430),\, D_{s1}(2460),\, \text{and } D_{s1}^\prime(2536)\big)$ within the Standard Model

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Semileptonic B decays to mixed axial-vector mesons show branching ratios and polarization observables that vary strongly with the D1 mixing angle in the covariant light-front quark model.

  6. Does $\psi(4660)$ exist?

    hep-ph 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 4.0

Fits using coupled channels and bare states show the psi(4660) as a conventional charmonium state above the Lambda_c pair threshold in both Belle and BESIII datasets.
