It is conjectured that M-theory in asymptotically flat spacetime must be supersymmetric, and that the observed SUSY breaking in the low energy world must be attributed to the existence of a nonzero cosmological constant. This would be consistent with experiment, if the {\it critical exponent} $\alpha$ in the relation $M_{SUSY} \sim M_P (\Lambda /M_P^4)^{\alpha}$ took on the value 1/8, rather than its classical value 1/4. We attribute this large renormalization to the effect of large virtual black holes via the UV/IR correspondence.

    hep-th 2026-03 unverdicted novelty 7.0

The bosonic AdS3/CFT2 duality emerges from the Gross-Neveu model via higher-spin composites and fluctuations in competing spin-0 and spin-1 condensates that define the radial bulk coordinate.

  2. The Fate of Nucleated Black Holes in de Sitter Quantum Gravity

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Nucleated maximal-mass black holes in de Sitter space undergo thermal Hawking evaporation in smooth quantum states and return fully to the empty de Sitter vacuum.

  3. The yes boundaries wavefunctions of the universe

    hep-th 2026-04 unverdicted novelty 6.0

Using two timelike boundaries and a nearly maximally entangled thermofield double state from dressed de Sitter Hamiltonian theories, the authors construct wavefunctions for extended cosmological spacetimes that includ...

  4. The Fate of Nucleated Black Holes in de Sitter Quantum Gravity

    hep-th 2026-05 unverdicted novelty 5.0

Nucleated black holes in de Sitter space evaporate via standard Hawking radiation back to the empty vacuum, rendering nucleation a temporary fluctuation.

String theory imposes constraints on dark energy but permits various construction attempts for de Sitter vacua and single-field exponential quintessence models despite obstructions.
